Future of Farming
The Australian Sheep & Wool Show hosts the Future of Farming series which incorporates junior judging, schools competitions and celebrates our best and brightest young farmers.
The ASBA has partnered with the Ross McKenzie Trust to present the Future of Farming series at the ‘Sheep Show’ in Bendigo on July 15 to 17.
The Ross McKenzie Fellowship provides for more than 180 students from 15 schools to attend courses on sheep genetics, vaccines, wool testing, eating quality of sheep meat, and the development of Corriedale breed. Each year the Australian Sheep Breeders’ Association is impressed with the number and quality of agricultural students and young farmers at the show and aims to expand Future of Farming activities.
"The ASBA is passionate about building on our 133-year history of recognising excellence – it is terrific to see such enthusiasm among young people for producing top quality sheep and fleece," - Ross McGauchie, ASBA president
